NYA - “THE GIRL NEXT DOOR”

Nya Chambless is an actor with a passion for emotionally honest storytelling. From an early age, she developed a natural connection to character, story, and the emotional truth that brings performances to life.

She began her training in theatre, making her debut in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Players Theatre and continuing to perform in a range of stage productions. This foundation shaped her discipline, presence, and ability to connect deeply with both character and audience. While her roots are in theatre, Nya’s focus is in film and television, where she is drawn to the intimacy and subtlety of on-camera work and stories that feel grounded, authentic, and emotionally resonant.

Her experience includes independent films, commercials, a television pilot, theatre, and improv, allowing her to bring both versatility and focus to her work. Whether in drama or comedy, she approaches each role with curiosity, emotional awareness, and a strong commitment to authenticity.

Nya is graduating high school a year early with honors while continuing to train with respected industry professionals, including Nate Jacobs, Bob Marks, Howard Fine, Kent Skov, Jason Cannon, and The Barrow Group. While her primary focus is acting, she also sings and dances when a role calls for it.

In addition to acting, Nya writes and directs original films that have been recognized at international festivals and through student media honors. Her work behind the camera has strengthened her understanding of character, collaboration, and storytelling, making her a more intuitive and thoughtful actor.

Beyond the arts, Nya has a strong interest in biology and medical science. She is currently working as a lab assistant in surgical pathology, an experience that deepens her curiosity about people and informs her approach to character through empathy and observation.

As an artist, Nya is committed to meaningful storytelling, continued growth, and collaborating with creative communities that value originality, emotional depth, and human connection.
